Jade de LaFleur. If the name sounds familiar you may have been an early fan of girl group Sophia Fresh where she served a short term as one of the original members, but it is far more likely you checked out Solange's compilation album Saint Heron which featured the title track of this EP - Jaded. She followed that up with the track Freedom which at the time featured an uncredited James. That was all back in 2013 however, so fast forward to January 2014 and Jaded, the 9 track EP, is ready to drop. Featuring another, this time credited, spot from James on the track Smokin In My Car. This EP slipped under my radar until recently (which is all the more reason this forum needs to get off the ground) but it is well worth listening to the whole thing on Jade's soundcloud.
Once you do I want to know to what extent you think James was involved in this project. What we know is that Jade and James are good friends and that James was (heavily) involved with Jade in the process of making this album. Unfortunately no official liner notes have been released so any information people have on this would be much appreciated. There are other tracks with male vocals, that are heavily auto-tuned but could at a stretch be James. Below is the information I have collated from various verified and unverified sources.

Smokin In My Car Ft. James Fauntleroy - Jade's soundcloud
Was created "after endless convos, narratives, lectures, and comic relief..." with James - Vice (as below)
Freedom Ft. James Fauntleroy - EP on iTunes
was produced by The Page Brothers & Brady Watt (Co) and written by James - Brady's website
Blue Notes And Green Trees Ft. Kafele Bandele, was produced by Brady Watt and written by Jade de LaFleur and Corey Chorus - Jade's sound cloud
Jade on the making of Jaded - from Vice
"I hit up my good friend Corey "Chorus" Gibson—who is a phenomenally talented songwriter and vocal producer that I had previously worked with—and told him my ideas and why I wanted to do what I wanted to do, and then we did it. We would get together... I shared my thoughts and feelings and then we sang and wrote sagas. I mainly worked with production from my friends The Page Brothers or vibed out with live instrumentation from a few friends like Kafele Bandele (Trumpet), Brady Watt (Bass/Guitar/Piano), & Doug Fitch (Percussion)....Mary and Jameo were there, too."
Jade on Jaded being selected for Saint Heron - from Life + Times
"That’s been great. For me, the whole thing has just been fun, you know, because from jump, she [Solange] was one of the first people that I let hear that song [“Jaded”]. Her and my friend James Fauntleroy. When they both loved it, I was like, “Bam! Verified,” because those are two of my friends that I really look up to [for] their musical expertise. I loved that they loved it."
Jade on knowing/working with James - also from Life + Times
L+T: What have you been able to learn from James Fauntleroy, developing your craft as a songwriter?
JdL: So much. When I’m around James, I’m just a sponge. Outside of that, he’s just my friend. So, it’s great. Every time I’m around him I feel like I have a front row seat to a concert. In every way, I learn from James: He’s so intelligent; the different ways I’ve learned to form melodies and put my thoughts into words. In every aspect, even just life. I’m super, super blessed to have James around.
