Bio
Having grown up in a musical family, it was only a matter of time before, musician/ producer; Larrance Dopson discovered his love for it. It didn’t take long, by the time he was 4years old he received his first real drum set and the rest what history. He would go on to play for various school bands as well as his church and by the time he reached high school he had mastered the keyboards which would become his new love. It wasn’t until about that time that he would really start to try his hand on the production side. Joining forces with child hood friends, Charles ‘Uncle Chucc’ Hamilton, Kenneth ‘Bam’ Alexander and Lamar ‘Mars’ Edwards, he went on to create what we know today as; ‘1500 or Nothin.’ A complete musical movement as he would describe it with a mission to take over the whole music game. It was a mission that wouldn’t take them long to begin. He was blessed to have the opportunity to work with Super producers such as Justblaze, Brian Micheal Cox, and Teddy Riley at a young age. Which lead to great collaborations with major artists like, Bobby Valentino, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg, and others. All of which helped put his name on the map but it wasn’t until the summer of 2008 that he and his production partner, Mars, would get their own recognition by co-producing the Game’s highly anticipated release LAX single ‘Dope Boys’ featuring Travis Barker. Additionally, he collaborated on the hit single ‘Pain’ featuring Keisha Cole. Since then Larrance has been on a mission to keep creating great music that means something, whether it’s been through touring with major artists: T.I., Diddy, David Banner, Snoop Dogg, Anthony Hamilton, and Musiq among others. Or breaking out into new genres of music and developing new artists that will be sure to make their mark on the industry. He's also been responsible for hit singles such as, "Break My Heart" by Rick Ross ft Estelle and "Love This Life" By T.I He has also been nominated for Grammy's for his work on "Far Away" by Marsha Ambrosious and Lupe Fiasco's "Food and Liquor 2" album.
The sky is definitely the limit for this talented and driven musician, producer, songwriter, and ceo. Taking with him a piece of his families strong unity and love through their shared bond of music, his strong faith, and his unique ability to bring notes to life he will never forget where he came from as he fights to get to where he’s going. If you ever have the opportunity to sit and talk with him, he would be the first to say that what happens between him and his keyboard is nothing but GOD.
He and 1500 or Nothin are determined to change the music game as we know it, one song, one beat, one note at a time.
